Macadamia Essence began with a love of good food and a respect for nature. South Africa produces some of the world’s finest macadamias, often exported as raw nuts. We wanted to add value here at home and share the magic of cold pressed macadamia oil with local kitchens. Cold pressing has been around for centuries, but most large-scale producers today speed up the process for volume, which creates friction and heat. Once you go above 35°C, you lose much of the natural goodness.
We’ve pioneered a genuine cold press that always operates under 35°C.
No heat, no chemicals, no additives. Nuts are hand-picked and hand-sorted, then gently pressed and left to sit in order to clear naturally for seven days. The result is a clear, pale oil that’s pure and nutrient-rich, just as nature intended
